Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge Sundae

Any body who knows me knows that ice cream is one of my favourite foods on planet earth and i absolutely love eating ice cream in winters. My favourite flavour is mint ice cream with chocolate chips in it. I think a good generous helping of ice-cream can make anyone and any body smile, it just brings twinkle in the eyes and a warm smile on the face.To make any occasion special just serve ice cream sundaes with any of your favourite sauce( like chocolate, caramel, butterscotch or maybe peanut butter the way i did today) apparently my kids love peanut butter and so does my husband. When it comes to sweets he is the biggest baby in our home, i have caught him on several occasions sneaking out to the kitchen late in the night to dig in his favourite desserts.

If you love peanut butter then this is the stuff of dreams. This sauce is the best that you could ever imagine for your ice-cream sundaes. My daughter had her friends over for some last minute revisions and this is how i thought of treating them for all the hard work they were putting in for their exams. The girls chose their own flavours of ice cream but you should choose which ever flavours of ice cream you want. Even the humble vanilla  becomes a show stopper with this sauce.

175ml double cream

100g milk chocolate, chopped

100g smooth peanut butter (skippy)

3 x 15 ml tablespoons golden syrup

4 scoops caramel ice cream

4 scoops chocolate ice cream

4 scoops vanilla ice cream

salted peanuts, roughly chopped or slightly crushed

Put all the cream, chopped chocolate, peanut butter, and golden syrup into a saucepan and place on the heat to melt, stirring occasionally. In 2 minutes you will have your sauce ready.

Take out four sundae glasses and put a scoop of caramel ice cream in each, followed by a scoop of vanilla ice cream and then another of chocolate ice cream.

Pour some of your chocolate peanut butter fudge sauce over each sundae and sprinkle with salted peanuts.

Spread JOY !!!
