Be still my fluttering heart !! Everybody who knows me knows that ice cream is one of my favourite food on planet earth i just love ice cream, this particular recipe is soo…. easy that i am even embarrassed to tell you so. I would not want to make this very often as it is extremely difficult not to lick the bowl clean even before the thing freezes, so impossible it is to walk away from with conviction. This is gloriously gorgeous, simple though it is to make but the flavour is deep, complex and compelling. I absolutely love it.
You don’t need to make a custard and yes you don’t need an ice cream maker. ( how crazy easy is that).You could serve it with chocolate sauce and also with little sweet burger buns (little brioches) as they do in south of Italy, which ever way you eat it, it is absolutely divine.
300ml Double cream
175gm Condensed milk
2 x 15ml tablespoons instant espresso powder
2 x 15 tablespoons espresso liqueur
Air tight tub or container
Whisk all the ingredients together in a large bowl until soft peaks form, and you have a gorgeous, caffe – latte- coloured airy mixture. Fill it in an airtight container and freeze for six hours or overnight. Serve as u wish.
